Scallops are a fairly temperamental cooking challenge as chefs try to strike the al-dente-like balance between under- or overdone. And while you won't experience the sound of crashing waves, you will enjoy an energetic, loud feel and a menu full of modern American twists. Lindey’s Lake House is a casual, fun, social place where our commitment to fresh, farm-to-table and local is our way of life all year long. A lobster roll resembled a mini raft - an incredibly lightly toasted Maine-style buttered bun holding huge portions of lobster meat not enhanced with anything but a bit of mayo and tarragon. Pizza resembles flatbread and is the closest to what I once tried in Italy.

Our waiters weren't up on their wines, but neither tried to snow us with limited knowledge. One server said he would be glad to talk to the bartender about wine choices. With its white dining room, slightly formal yet relaxed setting, Lindey's has created its own style - wicker classy? All that's missing is the sound of the ocean or breeze from the lake.
